Dawn’s Awakening The morning sun rises over the cemetery like mom told me with the light shining in the tomb as my eyes started to open with me still constrained by the vines. I then heard voices calling out my name. “Evie!!” “Where are you Evie?” “Has anyone found my niece yet?” “We’re looking as hard as we can.” The police, my aunt, my uncle, Sid’s parents, and Nancy’s mom were here, and they’re looking for us. “We already found Sid & Nancy, but no signs of Evie.” “I already lost my sister years ago. I can’t lose my niece either.” “I’m here. I’m here.” I tried to yell to get their attention, but my voice was too weak from the vines that I struggled to get out of them. The vines were so completely whither and dry that they broke off from my struggling that I fell, and hit the ground with some injuries even from the vines that pierced my skin.
